Benha University Team for folklore
The idea of forming that team came as a result of a study to link the Popular tradition of Kalyobiya governorate with the students activity , particularly within the university , and then to delve deeper into Egyptian heritage in general. The team was formed from a group of students from different grades at different faculties until it includes more than 35 members now.
Tableaus of the team:
(1) - StickTableau
It is from the heritage of Upper Egypt. It is played with sticks as competition among men to show strength and how to control the stick and use it to dance with the girls.
(2) – Souboa (The seventh day of a baby) Tableau
It is from the heritage of Kalyobiya governorate. It shows the celebration of a newborn baby through some rituals implemented for the newborn.
(3) - Alhajala Dance
• It is dance that displays some of the celebrations of the Bedouins who live in the west of Egypt at night parties or weddings.
(4) - Courtship Tableau
• It shows how young men try to court young girls in the countryside of Benha while they are going to fill their pots from the canal and go back home.
(5) – Horse Tableau
• It is a show of how to tame horses and dance with them.
(6) – Wedding Tableau
• It displays and embodies the wedding celebration in the countryside of Benha.
(7) – Apricot Tableau
• It is one of the local heritage of Kalyobiya governorate. It shows the lives of the people of the village of Al-Amar in the cultivation , harvesting and sale of apricots. Then they marry their children with the money they get of the yield.
(8) Ramadan tables’ Tableau
* It deals with one of the most important habits in the Egyptian society in general and in Kalyobiya Governorate in particular. It shows how keen the people of Kalyobiya are on celebrating Ramadan and preparing food for the fasting people through establishing Ramadan Tables.
(9) Nubian Wedding Party’s Tableau:
* It shows the celebration of the wedding party in Nubian Society.
(10) Lovers Tableau:
* It shows the life of students and the role of intellectually-extremist groups in destroying the innocents’ lives and the role of the state’s institutions in facing this extremism and returning back to think about the future.

Some participations of the team:
• The team participated in (IBDAA) creativity contest (2) , (3) and (4) organized by the Ministry of Youth and Ruler of Sharjah , for Egyptian universities during 2013,
• Fulfillment of the Nile Festival, held in Gizira Sofitel Hotel on 30.08.2014.
• Celebration of National Day of the State of Nigeria , held on the Ministry of Youth Theater 30. 09.2015.
• 41st October victory Commemoration , held on October Panorama Theater on 19.10.2014.
• The team show before the US delegation to the University within the framework of scientific exchange between the universities.
• Damanhour Third and Fourth International Festival of Folklore , held in Damanhour Opera House.
• Participate in the First International Festival of Ioannina in Greece.
• Participation in Damanhour Third International Festival of Folklore with nine Arab and European
countries.
Equipa da Universidade de Benha para o folclore
A idéia de formar essa equipe surgiu como resultado de um estudo para vincular a tradição popular da província de Kalyobiya à atividade estudantil, particularmente dentro da universidade, e depois aprofundar a herança egípcia em geral. A equipe foi formada por um grupo de estudantes de diferentes graus em diferentes faculdades até incluir mais de 35 membros agora.
Tableaus da equipe:
(1) - StickTableau
É da herança do Alto Egito. É jogado com varas como a competição entre os homens para mostrar força e como controlar o pau e usá-lo para dançar com as meninas.
(2) - Souboa (O sétimo dia de um bebê) Tableau
É da herança da província de Kalyobiya. Ele mostra a celebração de um bebê recém-nascido através de alguns rituais implementados para o recém-nascido.
(3) - Dança Alhajala
• É a dança que exibe algumas das celebrações dos beduínos que vivem no oeste do Egito em festas noturnas ou casamentos.
(4) - Quadro de namoro
• Isso mostra como os jovens tentam cortejar garotas no interior de Benha enquanto elas vão encher suas panelas do canal e voltar para casa.
(5) - Tableau de Cavalos
• É um espetáculo de como domar cavalos e dançar com eles.
(6) - Tableau de casamento
• Exibe e incorpora a festa de casamento no campo de Benha.
(7) - Tableau Apricot
• É uma da herança local da província de Kalyobiya. Mostra a vida das pessoas da aldeia de Al-Amar no cultivo, colheita e venda de damascos. Então eles se casam com seus filhos com o dinheiro que recebem do rendimento.
(8) Tabuleiro das Tabelas do Ramadã
* Trata de um dos hábitos mais importantes na sociedade egípcia em geral e na província de Kalyobiya, em particular. Isso mostra o quanto as pessoas de Kalyobiya estão interessadas em celebrar o Ramadã e preparar alimentos para as pessoas em jejum através do estabelecimento das Mesas do Ramadã.
(9) Nubian Wedding Party's Tableau:
* Mostra a celebração da festa de casamento na Sociedade Núbia.
(10) Tabuleiro dos amantes:
* Mostra a vida dos estudantes e o papel dos grupos intelectualmente extremistas em destruir a vida dos inocentes e o papel das instituições do Estado em enfrentar esse extremismo e voltar a pensar no futuro.

Algumas participações da equipe:
• A equipe participou do (IBDAA) concurso de criatividade (2), (3) e (4) organizado pelo Ministério da Juventude e Governante de Sharjah, para as universidades egípcias durante 2013,
• Cumprimento do Festival do Nilo, realizado no Gizira Sofitel Hotel em 30.08.2014.
• Celebração do Dia Nacional do Estado da Nigéria, realizada no Ministério do Teatro da Juventude 30. 09.2015.
• Comemoração da vitória do 41 de outubro, realizada no Teatro Panorama de outubro em 19.10.2014.
• A equipe mostra antes da delegação dos EUA para a Universidade no âmbito do intercâmbio científico entre as universidades.
• Damanhour Terceiro e Quarto Festival Internacional de Folclore, realizada em Damanhour Opera House.
• Participar no Primeiro Festival Internacional de Ioannina na Grécia.
• Participação no Terceiro Festival Internacional de Folclore Damanhour com nove países árabes e europeus.
